Our Mission
At Ezekiel's Gift of Love Coachella Valley Down Syndrome Foundation our mission is to provide support, education and instill hope to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and our community.
Our Vision
The vision of Ezekiel’s Gift of Love Coachella Valley Down Syndrome Foundation is to create a supportive environment for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Our expectation is to foster hope and comfort to new families who have received a prenatal or birth diagnosis of Down syndrome through the presentation of factual information, linkage to resources and community connections. For families that are further along in their journey, our goal is to provide an opportunity for members to participate in support groups, educational workshops and social events. Through this collaborative effort, Ezekiel’s Gift of Love Coachella Valley Down Syndrome Foundation intends to unite and empower our Down syndrome community, “You are not alone!”
Ezekiel
Ezekiel Jeremiah was born on July 2015, to his parents; Mark and Yadira. He has three older sisters; Ebony, Aminah and Esmeralda. Ezekiel was given a confirmed diagnosis after birth, Trisomy 21- Down syndrome. Ezekiel traveled to New York in September where his photo was featured on a jumbotron in Times Square. He has also traveled to Texas, Phoenix, Nevada, and different Southern California cities meeting new families that have a family member with Down syndrome. Ezekiel loves to dance, wave at new friends and give high fives. He rocks his extra chromosome! His mother began looking into starting a foundation in the Coachella Valley and Ezekiel's Gift of Love Coachella Valley Down Syndrome Foundation became incorporated on January 26, 2017 and quickly became a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization on March 10, 2017.
