Welcome "Gift of Love" Baskets

When a local family has a newborn with a Down syndrome diagnosis, we provide a welcome Gift of Love basket. The baskets include items such as: a onesie with our logo, Parent's Guide to Down Syndrome book, pamphlet with local resources, linkage to Down syndrome agencies, baby items from local businesses, and other baby items to help welcome their new bundle of joy. These baskets can be delivered to our local hospitals or the family's home.

Parent/ Caregiver Support group

Monthly support groups for parents/ caregivers with a family member with Down syndrome. These groups are an intimate and safe environment for parents to share experiences, challenges, milestones, fears, experiences with service providers and make local connections.

Hope through Faith group

This group is open to all parents/caregivers of children with special needs and disabilities who are seeking ways to instill hope and encouragement through prayer.

Social Events

We are working on developing social events throughout our community, some examples are but not limited to: Bowling night, Laser tag, Paint Nite, Karaoke, Dances, arts and crafts, miniature golfing.

Educational Workshops

We strive to increase awareness and acceptance in our community. We provide workshops to help with transitioning from Inland Regional Center to the school system, transitioning from school system to adulthood, and have different service providers assist with distinguishing between different therapies (Occupational, Physical, Speech, etc.)

Siblings Workshops

We want to provide an opportunity to bring siblings together. This allows them to talk about their understanding of Down syndrome, provide social activities and support.
